iNaturalist Lunch & Learn with Matt Schultz

Join us for an iNaturalist training event designed to enhance your nature observation skills and prepare you for the 2025 City Nature Challenge. This three-part event will cover everything from getting started with iNaturalist to hands-on practice and troubleshooting.

Part One: Presentation and Lunch (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)

• Presentation by Stewardship Manager Matt Schultz: Learn how and why to use iNaturalist for documenting nature observations. Matt will provide a comprehensive overview, including the benefits of participating in citizen science projects and contributing to global biodiversity data. 

• Lunch:  Enjoy a delicious meal while you listen to the presentation.

Part Two: Outdoor Observation Practice (1:00 PM - 2:00PM)

• Field Session at BCHC Forevergreen Preserve: Head outside to explore the beautiful Forevergreen Preserve. You will be guided through the process of making accurate and detailed observations using iNaturalist.
