Executive Director
Louise Troutman
In June, 2018, we welcomed Louise Troutman as our new Executive Director. Louise is a long-time conservationist with experience in municipal government. She is a dedicated, community-minded public servant, having served 6 years as Paradise Twp. supervisor. She also served as a member of the Paradise Twp. planning commission, Environmental Advisory Committee, and Parks & Rec Committee. In addition, she was a member of the Regional Open Space Committee and Pocono Area Recreation Commission. Louise has also worked in the private sector as a telecommunications process engineer and project manager. She and her husband Dave co-own Pocono Lawn & Landscape, Inc. and have two children.

Stewardship Manager
Matt Schultz
Matt Schultz has been PHLT’s Stewardship Manager since early 2019. He is responsible for developing and improving visitor amenities for PHLT's nature preserve system. He also leads supervised volunteers in wide-ranging tasks, from document review, trail maintenance and ecological restoration.
Matt grew up in southwestern PA. In the ensuing years after graduating college, he has worked as a wildlife biologist throughout the Midwest, a land steward in Michigan, and a restoration ecologist in Oregon. Returning to the Keystone State, he is excited to explore, document, and protect the tremendous biodiversity of northeastern Pennsylvania. He lives in Scranton with his wife, Anne, and two daughters, Sophia and Nora.
