City Nature Challenge 2026

Get ready to participate in the 2026 City Nature Challenge- a four-day event to document biodiversity across the globe. Anyone can participate by downloading the free iNaturalist app and making and uploading observations during the four days from April 24 - April 27.  You have until May 10th to get your observations identified. The results are announced on May 13th.  Any observation made in these six counties: Lackawanna, Wayne, Pike, Monroe, Carbon, & Luzerne - will count towards the results.

Lackawanna State Park and Lackawanna County Parks are also planning to host events.
