“Where the Paradise Begins”
Join local naturalist and PHLT Board member Don Miller as we celebrate the arrival of spring with a scenic woodland walk on the Tank Creek Trail at the Kurmes Nature Preserve in Paradise Township. This guided walk will take us through a variety of forest habitats, showcasing the beauty of early spring.
We’ll explore different woodland habitats, discover early spring plants, and enjoy the soothing sounds of Tank Creek—a small headwaters stream of Brodhead Creek. Along the way, we’ll journey through a unique rhododendron tunnel to reach a special spot where two pristine streams, Tank Creek and Yankee Run, meet to form the beginnings of Paradise Creek.
