Participants will be able to make their own blend of herbal teas to sip during the workshop and also take a sample herbal tea blend home in a simple homemade tea bag. An informational wild teas/useful plants handout will also be provided.

Join local naturalist and longtime PHLT and BWA Volunteer, Don Miller for this useful plant and wild teas to welcome spring workshop.
Our Pocono landscapes both wild and cultivated are filled with “good to know” useful wild plants and little known candidates for both fresh and dried herbal teas. So how do you know which plants to use; what parts and times of the year they are available; and where to find them and safely, responsibly gather them? This workshop, filled with stories shared of useful wild plants and “teas for free” over a cup or two of tea may be just what you need.
Numerous dried herbal tea materials (both purchased and locally collected) and seasonal fresh wild plants will be available for participants to brew their own proper “high tea” to sip. And steaming herbal tea in hand, we will tell stories of plants and explore plant…
