Precious Pieces of Paradise Open Space Hikes
Join Paradise township resident, local teacher, long-time naturalist and open space advocate Don Miller for the next in a continuing series of “Precious Pieces of Paradise” hikes featuring unique natural areas, recently protected open space properties and other areas of natural history interest in and around Paradise Township.  These hikes are designed to introduce area residents to the wealth of natural resource opportunities and unique natural features that make the Poconos (and particularly the Barrett, Paradise and Mt. Pocono area) such a great place to explore, and learn about the great outdoors that surround our backyards and neighborhoods.

Hikes are sponsored by Paradise Township, Pocono Area Recreation Commission (P.A.R.C.), Paradise Environmental Advisory Committee, and Pocono Heritage Land Trust. All hikes are free for the public and families are welcomed.  Donations are accepted for Pocono Heritage Land Trust's Preserve Management Endowment. Pre-registration is suggested.  Please contact P.A.R.C. at 595-6465 or Paradise Township at 595-9880 to register or for more information about these hikes. Hikes begin at times specified with participants meeting in the main parking area of Paradise Township Municipal Building.  
* Unless otherwise noted due to holiday weekends, all hikes will be held on the first Saturday of each month, with no rain or snow dates unless noted.
